Women Cell

Most of the students in PTM Govt. College are girls. Since our College is situated in a socially and educationally backward area and the majority of the students are from Minority and backward communities, girls get very little support from the society or from their own family for pursuing higher education. Women’s Cell in this college puts forth great efforts to overcome these hurdles to continue their education and provide them with social economic and political empowerment to improve dignity and self respect in them. Women’s Cell probes into the socio-psycho-economic problems faced by the girls students. It also functions as a Counseling Centre for them. The kind of programs conducted by the Cell helps to give insight, enlightenment and empowerment to the students. The various classes, debates, Open Forum, Seminars, film screening etc. help them to shed off their inhibitions and make them capable of facing all challenges of life. The college has a Ladies Waiting Room .
